The Vancouver film industry is full of Wild Women and they know how to celebrate! Tracey Bell was thrilled to perform for some of them when she hosted Women In Film and Television’s 25th Anniversary Spotlight Awards Gala on April 30th .

This was a party unlike the corporate events Tracey usually performs at. The audience was not at all reserved or inhibited. They bounced in their seats and screamed like crazed Beatles fans throughout Tracey’s impersonations. They laughed loudly and cheered for Tracey and their colleagues.

Horror film revolutionaries, Sylvia Soska and her Twisted Twin Jen Soska,thanked Tina Turner when they accepted their Artistic Innovation Award. They had no idea that Tina would be one of the celebrities being impersonated later in the evening.

The Twisted Twins’ films have received multiple national and international awards, especially at horror-related festivals. Celine Dion introduced the award presenter, Peter Allen, who has composed music for over 100 films.

At the end of the show. Tracey brought the legendary director, Anne Wheeler on stage to play guitar and saxophone for her Tina Turner ‘Simply The best” routine. Sylvia Soska rocked out on guitar beside Anne. It was a wonderful evening.

                                          Niminsha Mukerji was unable to accept her Artistic Achievement Award, so her Mom accepted it for her and posed with Cher.

Tracey Bell brought out her Julie Andrews impersonation to introduce Paul Bronfman from William F. White International.

Marilyn Monroe introduced filmmakers Sharon McGowan and Eileen Hoeter.

                                                                                                   Marilyn sang ‘Happy Birthday Mr. Composer’ to Peter Allen.

                                                              The whole room danced enthusiastically to ‘New York New York’.

Corporate entertainer Tracey Bell appeared on CTV Morning Live in Vancouver yesterday to promote her hosting of the 2014 Women in Film & Television Spotlight Awards on April 30th. Tracey was interviewed as herself by CTV host Keri Adams, but she also brought along Julie Andrews, Marilyn Monroe, Celine Dion, and Cher (with a surprise cameo) as part of this live entertainment segment.

Bell recently returned from China where she performed for the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai using colourful energy, lightning fast costume changes, and abundant audience participation that her signature one-woman show, 8 Divas in 44 Minutes, is known for.
